Liberata secures new HMCTS contract for Financial Transaction Processing Service
We are happy to announce we have signed a new contract with His Majesty’s Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) to continue delivering its Financial Transaction Processing (FTP) Middle Office Service.
The FTP Service provides a critical managed service to HMCTS, ensuring the efficient handling and reconciliation of up to 10 million financial transactions a year, worth more than £3 billion.
The contract runs for an initial five years, with the option of extensions up to a further four years and is worth up to £63m over the term.
Charlie Bruin, Chief Executive Officer at Liberata said,
“I am delighted that our long-standing partnership with HMCTS continues with the award of this new contract. Liberata has invested heavily in its automation and reconciliation technologies, and this service is at the heart of the courts and tribunals’ financial operations, and we are proud to continue to play a trusted role in ensuring a resilient and efficient running of HMCTS services.”
The Ministry of Justice stated,
“We are pleased to continue our relationship with Liberata in providing these vital financial and accounting services to HMCTS”.
Liberata is now undertaking a 13-month transition integrating the FTP services currently delivered under its existing G-Cloud contract with new functionality and migrating these to a new hosted platform in later 2026.
