Virtual Work Experience with Liberata

We are helping people across the UK explore future career pathways through accessible, online virtual work experience.

Working in partnership with Springpod, our Virtual Work Experience programme introduces learners to different areas of Liberata, the skills employers value, and the roles that support a modern business.

Opening access to understanding careers

Work experience helps people understand their strengths, explore options and guide decisions about their future career path. But desirable workplaces are not always on the doorstep.

Our Virtual Work Experience programme helps widen access by giving you a flexible way to explore careers, build confidence, and discover roles you may not have thought of or known about.

About the programme

The Virtual Work Experience programme gives you a behind-the-scenes look at different areas of our business.

Our Ambassador Platform will connect participants with Liberata mentors, in a safe online environment, allowing them to share what life is like working at Liberata and the career journey that has taken them to their current role.

Learners can also take part in online quizzes and interactive activities to help them apply what they have learned. It takes around six to eight hours to complete, does not require live webinar attendance, and includes a certificate at the end.

Explore our business

You’ll begin with a short introduction to Liberata, then move into the business areas, roles and skills that shape how we work. Each section gives practical insight into a different part of our organisation, from commercial activity and operations to HR, technology, business change and employability skills.

Business process

Commercial activity shapes how we build long-term partnerships and create value for our customers. We will explain how our teams identify opportunities and win new contracts that balance business needs with social value. It also introduces the different commercial roles across Liberata, routes into this area of work, and insight from one of our commercial experts.

Operations

Operations are where plans become practical, day-to-day service. Find out how our teams manage processes, support clients and maintain high standards across long-term contracts. See how skills are used in operational roles, the pathways into this area, and what it is like to work in operations.

HR support

HR plays a central role in helping our people and organisation thrive. You will explore how our HR teams support learning and development, recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and Corporate Social Responsibility while contributing to day-to-day operations and longer-term growth. It also shows how HR connects people, ideas and priorities across the business.

Technology and business change

As technology evolves, so does how we work and deliver our services. Discover how technology promotes automation and digitisation, while people remain central to successful change. You will be introduced to the role of business change and how smart technology choices support better ways of working.

Employability skills

Strong employability skills can support any career path. We focus on teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. You will be shown how these skills apply in real roles across our business. You will be encouraged to reflect on strengths, areas for development, and practical next steps for your future career decisions.

Who can take part in the Virtual Work Experience?

The programme is open to 14 to 19+ year olds in Secondary Schools (Year 10 to 6th Form), Further Education Colleges, NEET (Young People Not in Education, Employment or Training), Looked After Children, Care Leavers, Care Givers and adults looking to return to the workplace.

It can be used by people starting their careers, considering a change, returning to work, or simply looking for practical insight into different roles and pathways.

Supporting skills, confidence and social value

Our involvement in the Virtual Work Experience programme is part of our growing commitment to CSR and social value. It builds on the work we already do with customers and community partners to support education, employability, social mobility and future skills.

By making work experience available online, we can help more people access meaningful career insight, wherever they are based in the UK.
