APA Awards 2025: Liberata finalists in five categories
We’re proud to say that our Finance and Accounting team has been shortlisted in five categories at the APA Awards 2025, recognising leadership, professional development and practical outcomes in accounts payable. We’re delighted to be part of the APA community following our recent membership and are looking forward to celebrating with our peers at the APA Conference and Awards.
Our finalist categories
The APA shortlist recognises people and teams who have made a real difference in accounts payable, from leadership and professional growth to service outcomes and solution impact. Here’s who has been shortlisted from Liberata, and why.
Leadership Award
Our Finance and Accounting Service Delivery Director, Bob Jones, is shortlisted for leading a major service transformation. He brought teams together under clear standards, invested in people development and built a culture of recognition. The result is stronger performance, consistent client outcomes and a motivated team.
The Claire Lomas Outstanding Contribution Award
Ollie Wheeler, Accounts Payable Operations Manager, is recognised for work that goes beyond his day job. He led the rollout of APA training across our AP team and prepared the groundwork for APA Quality Accreditation, building consistency across diverse client environments and raising capability across the board.
Public Sector Team of the Year
Our Accounts Payable Team is shortlisted for sustained performance and practical innovation in public sector delivery. Highlights include processing significant payment volumes while exceeding KPIs, strengthening purchasing card controls and introducing digital voucher services for residents, all while absorbing increased workloads without additional headcount.
Rising Star
Prithvi Ranawat is shortlisted for outstanding ownership under pressure. He has proven invaluable in resolving complex payment run queries, improving KPI reporting, and supporting budgeting at short notice, earning trust with clients and colleagues, and demonstrating the qualities of a future leader.
Solution Provider of the Year
Our nomination recognises a data led recovery audit that combined invoice analytics, supplier statement reconciliations, and targeted follow up to return £870,000 to Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust.
The work tackled root causes as well as recoveries, identifying measures to improve financial resilience and strengthen financial controls to reduce future risk. The nomination highlights the scale of analysis, the pace of recoveries, and how the approach has strengthened assurance for a complex public sector organisation.
“To be shortlisted for five awards recognises the hard work all the Finance and Accounting team has accomplished. We focus on outcomes that matter to our customers, from accurate payments to recovered cash and better controls. I am thrilled for our people and pleased to share the occasion with peers across the APA community.”
