Liberata Property Services showcases career opportunities at UTC Lancashire Open Evening

Liberata’s Property Services Architectural team were in attendance at UTC Lancashire’s Open Evening this week to highlight the work it has been doing in the local area and to showcase potential career opportunities for learners. Liberata has supported UTC over the last academic year and is an active member of the college’s Employer Engagement programme.  This support and guidance has proved invaluable in demonstrating the skills, behaviours and attitudes that employers require.

At the Open Evening, Natalie, Paul and Sharon from the Property Services team displayed architectural work and spoke with existing and potential learners about life post college and the opportunities available.

Sharon Livesey at Liberata, said “Over the last academic year we have built a prosperous relationship with the College.  We have a big footprint in the North West region working with a number of local councils, and we strongly believe in the development of skills locally.  Through working with our Property Services team, students at UTC have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of our business.”

Natalie Sarabia-Johnston, Architectural Services Head for Liberata, was the project architect for the new UTC facility and she has personally been involved over the past 3 years. Natalie said “It’s really important to invest time to recruit new learners into the construction industry and the work at the UTC is great for students who know they want to get involved in an innovative way of learning.”

Eastleigh Borough Council has worked with Liberata for a number of years who undertake the council's empty home reviews, and I must say, their service exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, they demonstrated professionalism, efficiency, and a genuine commitment to addressing this critical issue in our community. Thanks to Liberata, the council has been able to maximise our empty home bonus year on year. This positive impact on our community cannot be overstated.

The RV Finder service from Liberata has really helped us ensure that our data is as accurate as possible and, when the VOA has processed the outstanding cases, I fully expect to see more than £1,000,000 of additional RV. The “risk and reward” model works well and the Council only has to pay for their success and the service is something that we will use on a regular basis.

Liberata has been empowered to create a seamless integration with technology to digitally transform the Revenues and Benefits service whilst trying to protect local jobs. The joint strategy has helped to deliver innovative solutions that have exceeded expectations, whilst providing savings to the authority. This surge in digital engagement has helped deliver strong year one outturn with electronic billing and the technology will enable us to show improvements in the benefits speed of processing and in Council Tax processing of moves, discounts and exemptions.
