Geoff UnwinGeoff Unwin, Non-Executive Chairman

Geoff was appointed Chairman of Liberata in July 2003. Until January 2002 he was Chief Executive Officer of Capgemini and remains a non-voting member of their board. He was appointed to the board of United Business Media as a Non-Executive Director in 1996 and became Chairman in November 2002. He is also Chairman of Halma Plc, a highly profitable electronics group and Taptu Ltd, a mobile search company backed by 3i/Sofinnova. Geoff is a member of the advisory board of Palamon Capital Partners and chairs one of their investments, OmniBus Systems Ltd, an award winning international software company focusing on the media content management needs of the broadcasting industry.


Dermot Joyce

Dermot Joyce, Group CEO

Dermot is the Chief Executive of Liberata and is a main Board member of the company. He is responsible for all aspects of the operations of the business, its financial success and the quality of services provided to customers.

With more than 20 years' experience, Dermot is an accomplished leader with deep expertise of successfully growing businesses in the business processing outsourcing (BPO) and government services sectors. He joined Liberata on 14 September 2009, from Serco Group’s Civil Government business where he was Chief Operating Officer. Previously he was Executive Director of the Commercial Services Division of Capita Group, which included both private and public sector BPO operations.

Dermot holds an undergraduate degree in Business Studies from the University of Limerick and an MBA from University College Dublin. He also has an MSc. in International Accounting & Finance from London School of Economics.


David HodgsonDavid Hodgson, Non-Executive Director

David is a Managing Director of General Atlantic LLC, a global private equity firm. He joined General Atlantic in 1982, helped found their partnership, and has over 20 years of experience identifying and assisting portfolio companies worldwide in all areas of their development. David serves as a director of a number of public and private information technology companies including Dice Inc., InsightExpress, ipValue, Northgate Information Solutions plc, TriNet and Xchanging NV.

David graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1978 with a degree in Mathematics and Social Sciences. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and received the Kemeny Prize in computing at his alma mater. In 1982, David received an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

David is chair of the board of the Echoing Green Foundation, a provider of fellowship support for not-for-profit entrepreneurs. He also serves as chair of the executive committee of the Manhattan Theatre Club and as a trustee of Johns Hopkins University and the Spence School in New York.


Greg LockGreg Lock, Non-Executive Director

Greg held various roles at IBM (1970-2000), including acting as a member of the company’s Worldwide Management Committee, Governor of the IBM Academy of Technology and the Global General Manager, Industrial Sector, a unit representing some 15% of IBM’s worldwide revenues. Since then he has been an active supporter of, and investor in, entrepreneurial activities and a board member of various companies. Greg is currently Chairman of Computacenter, a provider of IT infrastructure services and Kofax, who specialise in document driven business process automation solutions. Greg has also recently been appointed as Non-Executive Director for United Business Media, a leading global business media company.


Florian WendelstadtFlorian Wendelstadt, Non-Executive Director

Florian is a Managing Director at General Atlantic LLC, a global private equity firm, where he has worked since 1997. He worked in General Atlantic’s Greenwich office from 1997-1999, then relocated to open the company’s London office, which he now heads. Florian focuses on the Financial Services, Enterprise Solutions, Software & Outsourcing, and Consumer sectors. Florian is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, as well as a Director of Liberata, Saxo Bank AS and Net1 U.E.P.S.
